I absolutely LOVED Enchanted. I never realized how much i missed a good Disney princess movie, or how desperatly i missed seeing Disney traditional animation. I think that's the only real reason why i love the movie so much...the animation was just breathtaking. I almost burst out in tears, that's how happy i was to see traditional animation again.
Giselle was a beautifully designed character. Besides Ariel, she's now my new favorite Disney "princess." Of course, it probably doesn't help that i'm a big fan of Alphonse Mucha and Giselle is practically ripped from one of his prints.
I sketched this out in one of my classes a few days after seeing the movie. I had no reference to go by besides what i remembered, that's why her dress looks different.

I adore Giselle. Great art, it's cool to see her in your style.
Giselle was even more amazing in traditional animation rather than this newer 3d-like technology Disney has been using. Disney definitely excels in that field.
If you're interested in critiquing, could you please take a look at the Giselle as a mermaid picture I've done? [link]
I've been hoping to get some Ariel and Giselle fans to look at it before I start to shade.

This is so cute. I think you captured her very well, in both your own style and the way she was made. I think the golden age of animation needs to make a serious comeback, this only helps prove it to be a valid idea.
I think Giselle is a really awesome princess, and is almost at the top of my list...I still have Ariel and Wendy (though she's really not a Princess, she's still on it) leading the pack in my opinion.

You stabbed me with a potato peeler?
The movie rocked so much. <3
I know what you mean. I had tears in my eyes the first time I saw it. This is definately a great movie to begin the return of traditional animation.
