For the past like month i've had this nagging urge to draw Ariel. So yesterday i finally sat down and doodled something out. *sqee* i love Ariel....she's my favorite Disney character....ain't she prett-a?

This is my second piece done in the cel animation technique...i'm slowly getting the hang of it...very slowly. Done in about, roughly four hours. Please pardon the poor excuse for a background...photoshop is the only thing i got, and it sucks for backgrounds...it sucks for pretty much anything. I am -so- ready to see what other programs are like, but i'm poor and i have no clue what other peogram i should purchase...so for now i'm stuck with photoshop.

Ariel is such a cool name! I guess i can understand wehre you're coming from....you don't like her because she stole your name. A firend of mine (who is also named ariel) didn't like her becasue of that.

The Little Mermaid was the first movie i ever saw in theatres....i would have been about two. I sat through the whole thing and from that moment on i loved Ariel - i still do =P

Yeah, people are always asking me, "Oh, were you named after the little mermaid?" And I'd angrily reply,"No....I was named after the fairy in Shakespere....SHAKESPERE!!!!!!"

Nice, I really like the hair, though the perspective seems funky. I think it's because her fin is too close compared to the rest of her body... may just be the camera angle.

thanks....and yah i noticed the perspective was off with her fin too. I was just too lazy to change it and i'm a sucker for mermaid tails...so i didn't feel like having to redraw it with the possiblility i may not be able to get it right again. :P
