Hey guys! Well, It's almost October (about a half hour away for me) and that just got me a'thinkin' about Halloween. Thinking about Halloween made me remember a book I used to really like when I was in elementary school. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it and it's driving me nuts!

The book wasn't necessarily a Halloween themed book, it was just a scary story. It's about this man who lives out in the woods all by himself and he finds/takes this cat-like tail in the woods. The whole book is centered around the creature the tail belongs to haunting the guy who took it. The creature chants things like 'give me my tail back' and a word that sounded similar to 'calico' - that word is the title of the book. I tried looking up children's books titled Calico but I didn't get anything, that's why I think it's a word that sounds just like it.

If any of the incoherent descriptions I just spouted off ring any bells, please let me know...I really liked this book when I was younger and I'd like to find it again.
